As the number of incoming Muslim tourist from overseas grows, the needs of “meal” and “prayer” have been strengthened. In major cities like Tokyo and Osaka, more people started to pay attention to halal or prayer while the situation is not enough in rural areas in reality. In order to meet their needs and encourage inbound tourism within Japan, this expo will be an opportunity to exchange information and interaction among business actors.
In Japan, with falling population, business actors are expected to actively develop their business to the global market. Based on the purpose of accelerating outbound of business from Japan, this expo plays a role to spread products and services related to halal or targeted at Muslim to the globe while bringing made-in-Japan quality in the Islamic market.
Under the circumstance in which international interest is concentrated on refugees and immigrants, one of the major challenges in Japan is how to get along with foreigners living in Japan. Understanding halal eventually eases discriminations against foreigners, including Muslim, living in Japan in terms of their religion or origin.
